Restrictions regarding liquids
The category of ”Liquids” comprises of liquids, aerosols and gels (LAG), liquid/solid mixtures and other items of similar consistency.
When you pack your carry-on baggage, please check which items are assimilated to ”liquids”, by reading the examples in the lists below:
- Liquids: water, soft drinks, alcohol, syrups etc.
- Aerosols: deodorant spray, hairspray, hair mousse etc.
- Gels: shower gel, hair gel, cream, lotion, foundation, mascara, etc.
- Other items with similar consistency that are classified as LAGs: soup, honey, yogurt, sour cream, humus, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, cream cheese, eggplant/fish salad, protein shakes, jam, compote etc.
Transport conditions for LAGs vary from airport to airport in Romania, depending on the security equipment in place. Please check the specific conditions at your departure airport:
At “Henri Coanda” Bucharest International Airport, liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) may be carried in carry-on baggage, in containers with a maximum capacity of 2 liters.
This provision applies exclusively to passengers beginning their journey at “Henri Coanda” Bucharest International Airport and not to passengers transiting or being transferred to other destinations.
The security staff may, on a case-by-case basis, request that containers be removed from baggage and/or opened for further inspection.
