4. Legislation

The legal framework governing SRI activity is given by the following laws:

• the Romanian Constitution;
• Decision NO. 30 of June 23, 1993 - republished;
• the Law no. 14, on the Organization and Operation of the Romanian Intelligence Service;
• the Law no. 51, on the National Security of Romania;
• the Law no. 58, on Romania’s Cyber Security and Defense, and for amending and completing some normative acts;
• the Law no. 80, on the Status of Military Personnel;
• the Law no. 182, on the Protection of Classified Information;
• the Law no. 415, (updated) on the Organization and Functioning of the Supreme Council Of National Defense;
• the Law no. 535, on Preventing and Combating Terrorism;
• the Law no. 544, on the Free Access to Information of Public Interest;
• The Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and Additional Protocols to the Convention ratified by Law no.34/1994.
