The Regional Conference PROTECTOR - Doing Business in a Safe Environment, held in Bucharest

On October 8, 2018, the Romanian Intelligence Service took part in the 6th regional conference of the national awareness program PROTECTOR - Doing Business in a Safe Environment, organized in Bucharest.
SRI contributed to the works of the conference with two presentations on the alert indicators in commercial transactions with dual use and military products, and implications of unilateral sanctions on the activity of Romanian economic operators.
The conference addressed to economic operators in Bucharest and Ilfov County.
PROTECTOR - Doing Business in a Safe Environment is an inter-institutional program consisting of eight regional conferences dedicated to economic operators that transact, trade and provide goods and services subject to the export control regime or international sanctions.
Its objective is that of raising awareness as to the risks resulting from infringement of international sanctions imposed on certain states carrying out development programs of weapons of mass destruction, as well as to the risks generated by infringement of national export control regime for certain categories of goods and services.
PROTECTOR - Doing Business in a Safe Environment is supported by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship, the Ministry of National Defense, the National Bank of Romania, the National Office for Preventing and Combating Money Laundering, the National Commission on Nuclear Activity Oversight, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, and the Romanian Intelligence Service.
