SRI organizes the third edition of CyDEx

Between September 30 and October 2, 2019, the Bucharest Palace of Parliament will host the third edition of the most important cyber security exercise in Romania, CyDEx19. The event will be attended by more than 90 entities from the public, private and academic sectors.

For the first time, CyDEx19 will witness the simulation of complex scenarios, jointly developed by the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), the Special Telecommunications Service (STS), the Protection and Guard Service (SPP), the National Ministry of Defense, the Military Technical Academy, CERT-RO, the Ministry of Finance, the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, the Romanian National Bank, Deloitte, Bitdefender, SecureWorks and ING.

Representatives of academia will also attend the exercise for the first time, both as participants and as co-authors of the scenarios.

CyDEx19 is the only nationwide practical exercise and its goal is to verify the level of technical expertise of the specialists from the participating entities in case of a major cyber incident on a national scale, but also to develop an efficient mechanism for early warning, alert and rapid response to this type of incidents.

CyDEx19 is organized by SRI, through the agency of the National Cyberint Center and with the support of the following institutional partners: MApN, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), the Ministry of External Affairs (MAE), STS, SPP, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SIE), ORNISS and CERT-RO.
