Selection of the national team for the ''European Cyber Security Challenge 2018'' contest

In the period between the 7th and 8th of July, 2018, for the fourth year in a row, the Romanian Intelligence Service together with CERT-RO and the National Association for the Security of IT Systems and in partnership with Orange Romania, CISCO, certSIGN, Enevo Group, Transylvania Bank, BCR, Clico, Marsh Romania and PaloAlto Networks, organizes the online selection of the national team for the „European Cyber Security Challenge 2018 (ECSC18)” contest.

The second stage will include a number of tests focusing on the security of web applications, cyber defense, cryptography, network traffic analysis, reverse engineering and public presentation skills. 

The Service and its partners will organize training sessions for the team selected to represent Romania at ECSC18, in order to increase its level of expertise and strengthen team spirit.

This year's final ECSC stage shall take place in London between the 15th and 18th of October, 2018. Each participant country will be represented by a 10-member team, split into two age groups of 5 participants each, one for 16 to 20 year-olds and one for 21 to 25 year-olds.
