As a result of the latest events and public statements, the Steering Committee of the Romanian Intelligence Service wishes to make the following clarifications:

We find it regrettable that the Romanian Intelligence Service has become the object of speculation due to false statements, unfounded accusations and the defamation of the Service's employees.

The Service expresses its firm disapproval of such attempts to vilify the organization and wants to reassure its local and foreign partners that it will relentlessly carry on its missions exclusively aimed at protecting our country's national security.

The Director of the Service, Mr. Eduard Hellvig, assures all the Romanian citizens that the organization is not involved in any power struggle or political debates and is determined to continue its efforts in the field of national security.
