Director of U.S. Intelligence Community Pays a Visit to SRI

On Friday, August 12, 2016, SRI Director, Mr. Eduard Hellvig, had an official meeting with Mr. James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence in the United States of America.

The talks tackled issues of mutual interest regarding international security environment, the terrorist threat in the world, and new cyber security challenges. During the meeting, the two directors addressed issues of regional security in Europe, underlining the crucial role played by intelligence and security agencies in substantiating the decision-makers’ early knowledge of realities as well as in drawing up timely and staunch policies.

The officials also shared institutional views on the development of the medium and long-term intelligence paradigm in NATO.
