Anniversary message (15 years of prevention through cooperation)

The National System for the Prevention and Countering of Terrorism (SNPCT) celebrates its 15th anniversary, thus validating the principle of “prevention through cooperation”.

Thanks to the ideals that we all share, to our joint values and missions, the inter-institutional partnership established under the umbrella of SNPCT has played a major role in protecting our country from terrorist threats.

We believe that throughout these years we have developed an enduring partnership, which represents and defines us both individually and as a team.

The developments in this field have led to a number of changes in terms of legal provisions and organizational structure. Various projects were implemented, such as amending Law no. 535 on the prevention and countering of terrorism, drafting a new Strategy for the prevention and countering of terrorism and adopting a new set of Internal regulations for the Anti-Terrorist Operational Coordination Center.

For the excellent results that we achieved together and for constantly maintaining a “state of watchfulness” the Romanian Intelligence Service – as technical coordinator of the National System for the Prevention and Countering of Terrorism – expresses its gratitude.

We take this opportunity to congratulate all the institutions within the National System for the Prevention and Countering of Terrorism, which contributed to the implementation of consistent efficiency standards in a dynamic and complex industry.
